Matouk Netto Bedding (Coverlets and Shams)

The Netto Bedding Collection puts a new twist on a traditional quilt pattern with an array of paneled chevron rows. To give it a light, lofty weight and silky-smooth touch, it's crafted from Talita, Matouk's 615 thread count Giza Egyptian cotton sateen.  Netto coverlets and shams are a perfect complement to the Talita Satin Stitch sheeting collection.

Matouk: The Essence of Luxury

The Matouk name is synonymous with fine bed linens and exquisite textiles. Netto coverlets and shams are made with Talita fabric, which is a unique combination of Giza 87 and Giza 92 cotton yarns for a sateen weave that is light and breathable. Netto features a detailed chevron quilt pattern. Available in a range of stylish shades.

Feel of Material

The 615 thread count Giza 87 and 92 Egyptian cotton sateen sheets represent the zenith of luxury bedding. The silky touch, the refined luster, and the exquisite softness promise a sleep experience that is decadent and restful.

How the Sheets Will Feel

  • Soft: The Giza 87 and 92 strains are among the finest Egyptian cottons, with long and delicate fibers. At a 615 thread count, these Giza sheets are incredibly soft with an ultra-plush sensation against the skin.
  • Silky: The inherent silky texture of the sateen weave is enhanced by the supreme quality of Giza cotton, resulting in a bedsheet that feels almost akin to liquid silk.
  • Warm to the touch: The sateen weave tends to have a warmer touch compared to percale. Paired with the density of the thread count, these sheets provide an inviting warmth upon initial contact.
  • Drapable: These sheets, due to their weight, weave, and quality of cotton, drape gracefully and effortlessly on both the bed and around the sleeper.

The Look of the Sheets on Your Bed

  • Lustrous: The sateen weave brings a gentle sheen, and the quality of Giza cotton further amplifies this luster. These sheets shine with a subtle, sophisticated glow.

About the Fabric

  • Less breathable: The sateen weave is less breathable than percale. However, the premium Giza cotton strains offer some level of breathability despite the dense weave.
  • Medium to heavyweight: The 615 thread count combined with the sateen weave gives these sheets a rich, luxurious weight, encapsulating the sleeper in opulence.
  • Ultra-smooth: Giza cotton, known for its exceptionally smooth fibers, combined with the sateen weave, offers an impeccably smooth sleeping surface.
  • Durable: The strength of Giza 87 and 92 cotton fibers ensures these sheets have a long life, withstanding multiple washes while retaining their luxurious feel.
  • Less wrinkle-prone: Due to the nature of the sateen weave and the high thread count, these sheets resist wrinkles more than their percale counterparts, though a gentle ironing may be needed for pristine presentation.

From MATOUK:

Three Generations, One Enduring Standard

The Matouk name stands for more than a business; it represents three generations of our family realizing a dream. It also stands for our larger family — the craftspeople in our factory, our inspiring designers, our partners around the world — who know they’re a part of something extraordinary. We bring out the best in one another, creating, producing, and exploring in a community of mutual respect.

John Matouk brings fine European linens to his new country

Born in Damascus, the son of a fine jeweler, John Matouk developed his taste and respect for workmanship in Syria, Italy, and China. Matouk & Co. began the day he arrived in the United States in 1929, determined to import world-class linens and embroidery to the American market. The company quickly built a reputation for its high-quality products, dependable business practices, and innovation. When imports were cut off during WWII, John opened his first factory in New York and engineered a special blend of mohair, rayon, and cotton

George Matouk Sr. expands and modernizes, honoring his father’s legacy

George Sr. spent his high-school and college summers learning the family business.

After a stint in the U.S. Navy, he joined the company full time, expecting to work beside his father for years. But John Matouk died unexpectedly just three years later. To grow what his father created into a thriving contemporary business, George updated its offerings while maintaining the quality and integrity his customers expected. He kept ahead of tastes and fashions, expanded the line to a full-service home textile source for the best stores in the country, and moved its factory from New York to New Bedford, Massachusetts, a region known for fine textiles and craftsmanship.

George Matouk Jr. maintains excellence and innovation while ensuring sustainability

George Matouk Jr. absorbed the lessons of his father and grandfather: to partner time-honored techniques with the very best materials while keeping an eye toward the future. For today’s generation, that means minimizing environmental impact and promoting a healthy workplace. The company’s Fall River headquarters is now powered by clean solar energy and features state-of-the-art production tools. As George Jr. leads the brand into the future, he works to uphold Matouk’s reputation for beauty and craft while seeking new ways to save energy and protect the environment.
