Proper care helps preserve the softness, absorbency, loft, and appearance of Abyss & Habidecor towels and bath mats.

• If a thread is pulled or snagged, carefully trim it at pile height with scissors rather than pulling it.
• Wash separately from garments or textiles with buttons, zippers, hooks, or Velcro that may snag the terry.
• Do not overload the washing machine.
• Use a cold or warm water setting; approximately 40°C / 104°F when washing. Avoid hot water.
• Separate whites and light colors from dark colors.
• Avoid bleach.
• Avoid fabric softeners.
• Avoid detergents containing optical brighteners or whitening agents, which may alter or fade colors.
• Use a liquid laundry detergent. For a gentle option, Fine Linen & Bath recommends Heritage Park Sensitive Skin All-Pupose Laundry Detergent.
• Tumble dry at a medium temperature to restore volume and loft.
• Dry thoroughly to help preserve textile durability.
• Certain skincare, hair-coloring, whitening, and cleaning products may cause bleaching or discoloration.
• Abyss & Habidecor products are pre-washed to help prevent shrinkage.
