How do dryer balls work?
When you add dryer balls into your dryer, the wool balls bounce around, lifting and separating sheets, towels, and clothing. As everything separates, the flow of air is increased, removing moisture faster, and decreasing drying time. Dryer balls have the additional benefit of softening your items naturally and minimizing static cling. *Please Note: DO NOT put wool balls in your washing machine. They are for use in your dryer ONLY.

Why are wool dryer balls better than fabric sheets?Fabric dryer sheets are single-use disposable products that use toxic chemicals to soften clothing. These chemicals are bad for the environment and your skin. Heritage Park dryer balls last for thousands of loads and are free of any harmful chemicals.

Pro tip:If you like a bit of scent in your clean laundry, consider dabbing a drop of your favorite essential oil on the dryer ball before placing it in the dryer. (We love lavender essential oil but any fragrance will do).

Laundry Detergents:
Effective in all water temperatures and wash cycle settings. Great for standard and high efficiency washing machines as well as to hand wash your favorite linens.
This highly concentrated liquid laundry detergent should be used sparingly, overuse during washing can cause soap to not be completely removed during the rinse cycle. To treat stains simply dilute detergent with a little water and apply to the stain, rubbing in gently. Allow to set before washing, best when set overnight and then wash regularly the following day. **Always follow fabric manufacturer's washing instructions.

Medium/Regular wash loads:

These balls help speed the drying time. They make noise bouncing around the fabric and can warp fabrics slightly; a result of the ball being thrown and passed against them. I have only used them three times so far and will experiment more in the future to find out which fabrics work best.
