FEEL OF MATERIAL

350 THREAD COUNT LONG-STAPLE COTTON PERCALE SHEETS

These 350 thread count long-staple cotton percale sheets provide a bedding experience that harmoniously merges softness, a cool and crisp touch, and durability. They're an ideal choice for those who cherish the timeless feel of high-quality cotton sheets with the luxurious touch of long-staple fibers.

HOW THE SHEETS WILL FEEL

  • Soft: Long-staple cotton produces an inherently soft texture, while a 350 thread count ensures the sheets are plush and comfortable against the skin.
  • Crisp: Percale's signature feel is crisp and refreshing. This crispness is accentuated thanks to the long-staple cotton, which provides a classic "hotel bed" feel (especially when freshly laundered).
  • Cool to the touch: Long-staple cotton spun in a breathable percale weave ensures a cool sensation upon first contact.
  • Supple: Even with the crispness, the flexible, long-staple cotton allows these sheets to drape gracefully over the body without feeling stiff.

THE LOOK OF THE SHEETS ON YOUR BED

Matte: Percale offers a matte finish, providing a classic, elegant appearance without any sheen.

ABOUT THE FABRIC

  • Breathable: Long-staple cotton is airy and doesn’t trap heat. Coupled with the breathable percale weave, these sheets encourage great air circulation to keep sleepers comfortable throughout the night.
  • Medium Weight: The 350 thread count gives these sheets a balanced weight — not too light, yet not overly heavy.
  • Smooth: While percale has a matte and slightly textured finish, the use of long-staple cotton ensures an innate, refined smoothness.
  • Durable: Long-staple fibers are durable to resist wear, tearing, and pilling, which gives these sheets a longer lifespan than those made from short-staple cotton.
  • Ironing: The natural properties of cotton combined with the percale weave can make these sheets a bit more prone to wrinkles than sateen or blends. A light iron is all that is needed to smooth them out.

From MATOUK:

Three Generations, One Enduring Standard

The Matouk name stands for more than a business; it represents three generations of our family realizing a dream. It also stands for our larger family — the craftspeople in our factory, our inspiring designers, our partners around the world — who know they’re a part of something extraordinary. We bring out the best in one another, creating, producing, and exploring in a community of mutual respect.

John Matouk brings fine European linens to his new country

Born in Damascus, the son of a fine jeweler, John Matouk developed his taste and respect for workmanship in Syria, Italy, and China. Matouk & Co. began the day he arrived in the United States in 1929, determined to import world-class linens and embroidery to the American market. The company quickly built a reputation for its high-quality products, dependable business practices, and innovation. When imports were cut off during WWII, John opened his first factory in New York and engineered a special blend of mohair, rayon, and cotton

George Matouk Sr. expands and modernizes, honoring his father’s legacy

George Sr. spent his high-school and college summers learning the family business.

After a stint in the U.S. Navy, he joined the company full time, expecting to work beside his father for years. But John Matouk died unexpectedly just three years later. To grow what his father created into a thriving contemporary business, George updated its offerings while maintaining the quality and integrity his customers expected. He kept ahead of tastes and fashions, expanded the line to a full-service home textile source for the best stores in the country, and moved its factory from New York to New Bedford, Massachusetts, a region known for fine textiles and craftsmanship.

George Matouk Jr. maintains excellence and innovation while ensuring sustainability

George Matouk Jr. absorbed the lessons of his father and grandfather: to partner time-honored techniques with the very best materials while keeping an eye toward the future. For today’s generation, that means minimizing environmental impact and promoting a healthy workplace. The company’s Fall River headquarters is now powered by clean solar energy and features state-of-the-art production tools. As George Jr. leads the brand into the future, he works to uphold Matouk’s reputation for beauty and craft while seeking new ways to save energy and protect the environment.
